Obituary

Bertha A. Strachan, 82, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully at Coastal Hospice at the Lake on Friday, November 2, 2018. She was born September 17, 1936 in Baltimore, a daughter of the late John Morgan Lambdin, Sr. and Mary Fairbank Lambdin. Bert, as she was known by all who loved her, retired after several years of service at Giant Foods in Salisbury and also had a wonderful career in social work with the Wicomico County Department of Social Services. She had attended Faith Baptist Church in Delmar for the past 10 years. She was a long time, active member of the Salisbury Metro Lions Club and loved volunteering for the vision screening at the local schools and helping children in the community. She is survived by her children, Michael O'Shea Dulin (Marni), Pamela Gail Wintjen And J.T. Strachan (Lauren); and grandchildren, Mike Dulin, Jr., Branden Dulin, Heather Dulin, Kyle Strachan, Addison Strachan and Olivia Strachan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John M. "Jerry" Lambdin. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar. The Reverend Ken Johnson will officiate. A memorial service will also be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Delmar.
