Angel Marie Ruark

October 13, 1990 - February 3, 2021

Angel Marie Ruark, 30, of Seaford, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Angel graduated from Woodbridge High School with the class of 2009. After graduation she worked for Harbor House Seafood as a driver, but her main job was being a wonderful homemaker, caregiver, mom and companion. She aspired to be a paramedic or firefighter, always looking to help someone in need. She loved trips to the zoo, walking boardwalks, attending state fairs, shopping, singing, a variety of music, cooking, working on her car, working in the yard and on the house and playing with her son. Her favorite season was fall, and she was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. She is survived by her mother, Frances Ruark (Billy Hinson) of Delmar and father, Thomas B. Hopkins (Danielle) of Bridgeville. She is also survived by her loving fiancee’ Jessica Smith, with whom she lived, and their son Hayden Ruark; a sister, Tiffany Bertrand; brothers, Darrell Ruark, Thomas Hopkins, Jr., Steven Hopkins and Christian Hopkins; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; her fiancee’s mother, Connie Payton; and her best friend, Kenny Smith. Angel and Jessica’s relationship was one of a kind, a special bond shared between two people that will never be broken, even by death. They were each other’s everything. The love that was shared between them was unbreakable and the love they shared for their son was undeniable. Jessica and Hayden will cherish every minute of every day that they had with Angel and will honor her memory forever. She will be truly missed forever. Always loved, always thought of and always carried in their hearts. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Millsboro Volunteer Fire Department, 109 E. State Street, Millsboro, DE 19966, followed by a celebration of Angel's life, which begins at 7:00. Services are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
