Obituary

Margaret M. (Peggy) Luber, 94, of Delmar, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury. She was born in the Bronx, New York on November 23, 1926, a daughter of the late Lester and Mary (McSweeney) Buckley. Margaret worked for many years at Bell Atlantic and Applied Physics Lab as a telephone operator, NSA as a computer programmer and in later years as a real estate agent. She was very active in the Business Professional Women's (MD) organization, the Red Hats, the Sweet Adelines and the Pythians. She enjoyed helping others and developed many wonderful relationships through the years. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Delmar, the Moose Lodge and the VFW. While her career was important to her, taking care of her family and always making sure everyone was ok was her main focus. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She is survived by her children, Theresa Souder of Delmar, Bryan Souder of Cambridge and Timothy Souder of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren, Staci Widner, Stephanie Klaiber, Michael Souder, William Souder, Angela Souder, Damian DiLauro, Heather Scionti, Justin DiLauro, and Taylor Howe; and great grandchildren; William, Abby, Liam, Sienna, Lily, Austin, Zachary, Nathan, Eva, Madelyn and Myles; She is also survived by a sister, Eleanor Payne of Iowa and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Luber; a daughter, Jeannie Howe; and a brother, Bill Buckley. Services will be held at a later date.
